Medical Terminology Basics (non accredited)

This is conducted by distance learning, fully supported with phone and email contact with the trainer. Textbook and CD are included in the cost. The non-accredited course provides an introduction to medical terminology and would be suitable for those working in aged care or for those with some contact with medical documents. The unit covers an introduction to terminology including, prefixes, suffixes, root words and practice exercises. Course begins on receipt of Learning Kit. Upgrades to an accredited course can be arranged upon completion. Course begins on enrolment.

*If students successfully complete Medical Terminology Basics an upgrade to BSBMED301B Interpret and Apply Medical Terminology Appropriately (accredited) can be arranged for $150.00. An alternative is to enrol directly into the higher course.
